I'm rating Starkey's, but not for a service provided, it's for being honest. I called him about a polar bear skin in really poor condition to see if it could be repaired, figuring if anyone could do it, it would be Brian. He was honest with me and told me straight up he wouldn't be able to help due to the condition of the skin, instead of telling me he could do it, taking my money and leaving me to end up with a destroyed skin anyway. So thank you Brian for being honest with me, and if I ever need any work done in the future you'll be the first call I make.
Starky's is the best. He is a genuine person with a deep connection to his profession and hunting. Very fair and professional. Five stars all the way.
Not impressed, if I could give half a star i would. Dropped my deer off there going on 5 years ago. Understandably it takes time needing a cape as my first time caping a deer I cut it short. Ive called him 5 times and get the same "oh yes ive got a cape and have started your deer give me a call in a couple of weeks". Dont know if he's a poor businessman or what but not impressed. Hands down will recommend solitude taxidermy, had my deer finished in under a year, beautiful product, and no bs service!
Brian has been my taxidermist for 5+ years and does nothing short of amazing work. He is willing to work with you to make sure the mount is exactly as you want and really brings your trophy back to life. He is quicker then most for turn around times but we all know great work takes time.
Brian has done all my taxidermy for me, including a full mount bear, numerous bear rugs and half mount bears, moose and deer mounts as well. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Great work Brian!
Wow!! Absolutely amazing work and incredibly friendly! I got my euro mount back within the time frame he had estimated and it looks fantastic. We ended up having a great chat about lots of his work and some great hunting stories. I will definitely be going back for my next trophy!
Brian and his son have been doing my mounts for a decade. I wont take it anywhere else. We've become good friends and because the work is so close to real life I've always felt my money is well invested in knowing I can trust his skillful hand to produce quality taxidermy. Thank you
