Exceptional quality and variety of furs... customer service with Stanley is always on point making me feel welcome and his knowledge in his trade speaks for itself!!! Highly highly recommend This seal and fox hat is probably the nicest hat I've ever seen... if your looking to stay warm and stylish this winter. Go see him!!

Customer service? What customer service. You wont find that here. The woman in the office is incredibly rude and one of the most unhelpful ignorant people you will ever meet. They did however do a good job on my bear, but i did have to wait 7 months for it, after being told ot would be 3-4. Unfortunately customer service and transparency is more important to me, hence the review. Editing because I've had a chance to look over my hide in depth. I'm so dissapointed. Claws are missing on every single paw(came clean off during their process) all pads are on(rock hard). So diassapointing for the price.

We travelled 7 hours to find some buffalo hides I’m sure glad we found Western Fur Tan we ended up with 3 beautiful buffalo robes and even some buffalo horns for a great prices!! They have the most beautiful buffalo robes and many more interesting furs and merchandise. The owners were super nice and very helpful! We will definitely be coming back in the future and telling all our friends the best place to find our traditional needs for a great prices and perfect work!

Brought in my first elk hide for tanning, Jon was incredibly knowledgeable about the process of tanning and preservation of the hide. He gave some helpful tips for next time I bring in a hide. This is a great independent company that does high quality work.

Amazing quality craftsmanship. I acquired a frozen raw polar bear hide and commissioned an area rug through this shop. The result: a polar bear rug that is more beautiful than we could have ever imagined - truly a work of art that will remain in our family for generations. The process did take a while (about 1.5 years) but this is due to a number of unforeseen circumstances including supply chain shortages for certain materials. Even still, the shop kept me closely informed every step of the way and they did not compromise on quality, and it shows. Thanks again Western Fur Tannery Ltd!

If you're looking for a place to bring your deer hide to this year, keep looking. After waiting over 11 months for my deer hide to get finished, they had the gall to still charge me $70 on top of the $100 deposit. They told me it would be 3-4 months, 5 months in I called and asked where it is, they said they were really busy and still working on it. After 7 months I called again same thing, but me being patient said ok. After 9 months I went in and asked for my hide, turns out the lost it/lost track of it. They went into the back and found a hide that fit the description and told me they would get right on fixing it up. 1 month passes, I call again they said it's sitting in the back and they will get on it. So instead of being good to their customer who almost lost their first ever deer hide thanks to them, they proceeded to give me a whole %20 discount, after waiting almost a whole year. They had bad communication the whole time and only called me once to confirm they had the right number when I first brought it in. I'll be bringing my next hide to the hutterities.

I wish I could remember the gentleman that helped us out, but customer service was exceptional, the products that they had were just beautiful n had an opportunity to view them at work making it all happen. Took everything we had to walk out with only 2 cowhide (intention was only one)... Thank you, we'll definitely return
